HYGIENIC MEASUREMENTS

A hygienic measurement is the measurement of the concentration of a certain pollutant in the environment.

A pollutant is any matter, energy, living organism or its derivatives, which when incorporated into the environment, alter its characteristics, and can cause harm to people.

There are 3 types of pollutants:

Chemicals: Silica, dust, Carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, methane, etc.
Physical: Noise, vibrations, temperature, humidity, light, radiation, etc.
Biological: Viruses, fungi, parasites, worms.

POR QUÉ SE DEBEN REALIZAR LAS MEDICIONES HIGIÉNICAS

  1. Para evitar accidentes de trabajo.
  2. Para evitar enfermedades profesionales.
  3. Para evitar disconfort en el trabajo.

DÓNDE SE REALIZAN

  • Cualquier centro de trabajo para evaluar la confortabilidad en cuanto a: luz, temperatura, humedad, ruido, etc.
  • Lugares expuestos a ruidos altos: industrias extractivas, vibraciones, temperaturas extremas, etc.
  • Lugares donde se manipulen sustancias químicas: canteras, perforación de túneles, lugares con riesgo de acumulación de gases, humos o partículas en el ambiente, etc.
  • Otros: Lugares como centros de producción de alimentos; Sector agrario (pastores, mozos de cuadra, etc.); Mataderos; Laboratorios clínicos o veterinarios; Unidades de eliminación de residuos, depuradoras de aguas residuales, etc.
